ORDERING:

At Demdike Jewellery we take customer satisfaction very seriously - after all, we do want you to come back for more!

For this reason, please do read our terms very carefully . . . & if in doubt please do feel welcome to email at DemdikeJewellery@yahoo.co.uk or phone us with queries - we will usually reply to emails the same day.

Please note, however, that to avoid nuisance phone calls we do not usually answer witheld numbers.

TERMS

  1. Photos: most items are made to order especially for you. For this reason the photos should be regarded as examples of style & not necessarily the exact item you will receive. If this is a problem please email me as the original may still be available. Photos of your item can be sent for your approval via email, Royal Mail or SMS messaging, if you wish, prior to despatch.
  2. Despatch: because items are made to order, please allow at least one week for a single item to be despatched - in most cases it will actually be considerably faster than this. At particularly busy times (e.g. Christmas), or for bulk orders, please allow up to 4 weeks - we will email you once your order is received & advise on expected time.
  3. Modifications: because each item is specially made, we can adapt & modify designs to suit your particular preference - whether size, colour or style. As this may need ordering of special materials, please email or phone to discuss your preferences before ordering.
  4. For orders over £75, by arrangement payment can be made in stages - 50% with intial order, with balance payable before despatch.  Please email or phone if you think this may apply.
  5. Payments: unless otherwise negotiated in advance, payment must be received before your item can be made or despatched. Payment can be made via credit card using our secure server - all details are deleted once your order is complete.  Regret we no longer take cheques or (due to technical difficulties) Paypal payments.  No other payment methods are currently available.  

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION / RETURNS

  1. If there is a problem with your order please get in touch & we will do our best to rectify matters.
  2. In the unlikely event of a manufacturing fault developing within the first 6 months, please contact us to arrange return.
  3. Returns / refunds can only be accepted by mutual agreement & within certain conditions. Please email or phone for details

DESPATCH:

INSURANCE: 1. UK.   ONLY Next Day Special Delivery service INSURES jewellery against loss or damage in the post.  Recorded 'Signed For' Delivery is usually reliable - BUT, regretably, jewellery sent this way is at your own risk.

2. International. ONLY Airsure offers insurance.  Most other Royal Mail services are reliable BUT they do NOT insure jewellery lost or damaged in the post. Regretably, therefore, Demdike Jewellery can not be held responsible for jewellery once it is despatched by any service other than Airsure.

AFTER-SALES SERVICE

Accidents do happen: however, because most Demdike items are hand-made, in many cases it is possible to repair damage.

In the event of a mishap, therefore, we can offer the following options:

  1.  For minor repairs (e.g. a loose strand on a wire choker) we will repair FREE - you just pay the return P/P (actual cost), or
  2. For major repairs (e.g re-threading of pearls + replacement beads, or rebuilding a badly damaged choker section) we will provide a quotation giving you full actual costs of repair including return postage: our promise is that these will be kept to the absolute minimum.
